MINSK AND ITS CITIZENS:
TEN CENTURIES OF HISTORY
(TO THE 950TH ANNIVERSARY OF THE CITY)

Planned field of the Conference:
  • Ancient Minsk (11th – 13th centuries);
  • In the Grand Duchy of Lithuania and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth;
  • The province center of Russian Empire;
  • City in the Winds of Wars and revolutions;
  • Minsk – the capital of the Soviet Belarus and the Republic of Belarus;
  • The famous Minsk citizens;
  • Tourism potential of the Belarusian capital.

Conference dates: 7–8 September 2017.
Venue for the conference:Institute of History of NAS of Belarus, 1, Academicheskaja str., Minsk, Republic of Belarus.
Applications for participation are accepted until 5 August 2017. The application should contain speaker’s full name, his/her academic degree and rank, position and place of employment, the title of the paper, contact phone number and email address.
Students, undergraduates and graduate students with the application should send abstracts (up to 2000 characters) and review of the supervisor.
Participants from abroad should inform organizing committee if they need visa support.
The Organizing Committee has the right to select papers for presentation and publication. Confirmation of participation in the conference will be sent until 15 August 2017.
Conference proceedings will be published. Manuscripts should be submitted to the Organizational Committee in soft and hard copies. The character limit for articles is 30,000 characters (including footnotes). The first reference to the publication should be given in full (author, the full title, the title of the journal or book in which the article appears and volume number if applicable, place of publication, year and page number(s)), in subsequent references, information about place and year of publication may be absent.
Conference languages: Belarusian, Russian, Polish.
The sending side will cover travel expenses.
